Annual Upgrades provide obsolescence guarantee

As we are all aware, computer components are constantly improving and getting faster and faster. You buy a computer and in a year, it seems like it’s already obsolete.

The same is true for your dedicated server. However, we’ve fixed that with our free annual hardware upgrades for dedicated server clients.   We want to give our clients the best value possible for their money. Providing affordable upgrade paths to the latest and greatest hardware is one way we are working to assure your web hosting success.

Below, you will find an outline of what we believe are the most affordable options that will keep your service level at it’s highest for you and your clients.

Annual Server Replacement

Per your request, we will upgrade your base server components every twelve months for FREE! This includes upgrading the CPU, RAM and motherboard to the current server offering at the time, in the current account level you hold, for all single CPU (single core or dual core) platforms.

There is no catch and this offering isn’t contract based. Any client in good standing, with a single CPU (single or multi-core) server, is eligible for this annual hardware replacement. Period.

Windows server clients, please remember you will likely need to migrate your existing data to the new server. This is in part due to the fact that Windows hard drives cannot be easily moved between different hardware architectures, like Unix can because of the differences in hardware and associated drivers.

Individual Component Upgrades

You may order component upgrades at any time, such as RAM or additional hard drives, as an example. We will contact you to schedule a coordinated time to bring your machine down to install each component. RAM and hard drive additions generally require no more than 10-15 minutes of downtime. There is no install fee for these upgrades.

Anytime Hardware Replacement

You may also upgrade to a new server platform at any time, before or after your normal annual upgrade, bypassing the 30-day cancellation notice requirement for only a $149 setup fee. We will build a new server with a temporary IP address so you can migrate your sites without downtime.

Once your sites are migrated, we will arrange a time to re-IP your machine and decommission the old one. We can also perform the migration for you under our admin rate for a “hands off” migration.

Anytime OS Re-imaging

From time-to-time, you may wish to wipe the slate clean and reconfigure your server from scratch. You can do that, at anytime whether it be a dedicated server or VPS.

For dedicated server clients, you may even wish to configure it straight from the install CD. For those adventurous enough to do so, we can provide a KVM and CD with the OS of your choice!
