Datacenter Technical Support (Entry-Level)

End user web hosting & email support position. Candidate would be an individual with basic Linux experience, able to learn quickly and maintain helpful, positive interactions with clients through our ticket systems, live chat and phone support.

Job Description:

  • Provide first line of support via live chat and telephone
  • Troubleshoot and provide support for technical issues clients are having with their web hosting plans and services.
  • Troubleshoot, test, quality assurance of hosting hardware and software
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Requirements:

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills in the English language
  • Basic knowledge in Windows and Linux Operating Systems
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Ability to multi-task and meet goals set by management
  • Ability to thoroughly document procedures and use existing documentation as require
  • Significant attention to detail
  • After hours maintenance periods and on call required

  • Additional:

  • Experience with web hosting technologies like CPanel, Plesk Panel, Windows, Linux, FTP, DNS, Virtualization (OpenVZ, KVM, Xen), Proxmox, Virtualbox
  • Ability to code in PHP, Shell scripts, Ruby on Rails
